Salary: Up to £57,000, plus exceptional benefits.

We are seeking a Charity Finance Lead to join The Calico Group, overseeing the financial operations of our charitable division, Syncora. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of precise and timely financial management information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Syncora Finance team to deliver an efficient accountancy service.
  • Produce accurate monthly management reports for stakeholders, enhancing their understanding of financial operations.
  • Develop and refine management information systems to support operational decision-making.
  • Engage in effective business partnering with various stakeholders.
  • Oversee budget preparation and monitoring processes.
  • Enhance financial systems and procedures to ensure robust financial controls.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and conduct balance sheet reviews.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
  • Foster a culture of Value for Money (VFM) across the organization.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified Accountant with a strong understanding of the charity and not-for-profit sectors.
  • Experience managing multiple small companies or SMEs is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in accountancy, particularly in producing management accounts.
  • Ability to collaborate with operational teams to enhance financial reporting.
  • Experience in budget management and financial forecasting.
  • Strong team leadership skills with a focus on staff engagement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in building and maintaining relationships at all organizational levels.
