About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Buyer to join our Commercial Department at British Offsite. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving our procurement strategy and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the procurement of materials and supplies from the UK and Far East, negotiating and managing supplier contracts to achieve the most commercially viable supply.
  • Develop and implement effective supplier management strategies, monitoring and analyzing supplier performance on delivery, quality, and cost.
  • Compile and distribute enquiries to relevant suppliers, obtaining prices and rates for required materials and services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals.
  • Manage and develop direct report employees, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth within the organization.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience of window and patio door procurement would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience of procurement from the Far East would be beneficial.
  • Effective supplier management and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and delegate effectively.
  • Strong commercial acumen.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, in person, at our head office location.
