About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join True Engineers as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, specializing in Mechanical and Electrical Services Design across the built environment. As a key member of our team, you will be working on high-profile projects, including technical data centre designs.

We are a reputable company that collaborates with leading architects, designers, and contractors, known for our delivery, quality, and reliability of services. This role is ideal for an ambitious engineer looking to play a significant role in a business and progress to Associate level.

Responsibilities
  • Take the client's brief and lead the technical fulfillment.
  • Attend project meetings with clients and other design team members, contractors, etc.
  • Conduct condition surveys, feasibility studies, report writing, etc.
  • Conduct site surveys for projects to obtain relevant information for scheme design.
  • Develop detailed scheme designs to obtain competitive tenders for the works.
  • Write specifications for the works.
  • Correspond with other design team members and clients on technical issues.
  • Perform calculations, both manual and using computer-based systems.
  • Provide budget costings as required.
  • Attend site progress meetings and monitor contractors' progress.
  • Assist and supervise junior design staff.
Requirements
  • Building Services Degree, Electrical Design Degree, or other related higher educational qualification (HNC/HND).
  • Preferably chartered or working towards chartership.
  • Experience in a building services design role in a consultancy environment.
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience, including calculations, drawings, specifications.
  • Full UK driving license.
