Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership that motivates and empowers staff to deliver the highest standards of care. Guide them to grow professionally and ensure they have the skills and confidence to excel in their roles.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage staff schedules, oversee daily operations, and ensure everything runs efficiently and with compassion. Maintain attention to detail to guarantee that our services are delivered consistently.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Cover the on-call system for the company, providing support and guidance during out-of-hours situations. Ensure continuity of care and operational stability.
  • CQC Compliance: Take the lead in maintaining CQC compliance, ensuring our services meet and exceed regulatory standards. Commit to quality in every aspect of our care delivery.
  • Strategic Development: Work closely with the Head of Operations to shape the future of our services. Drive new projects and initiatives that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster positive, collaborative relationships with service users, their families, external agencies, and internal departments. Enhance the quality of care we provide.

Requirements
  • Management Experience: Experience in managing teams, ideally within a care setting.
  • CQC Compliance: Familiarity with CQC regulations and experience in maintaining compliance within a care environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with sensitivity and respect, managing relationships with staff, service users, and their families.
  • Cultural Competency: Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Crisis Management: Ability to stay calm and make decisions during challenging situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
  • Training and Development: Experience in training staff to meet the demands of their roles and maintain best practices in care.
  • IT Proficiency: Basic proficiency with relevant software for managing schedules, budgets, and reports.
  • Understanding of Care Standards: Knowledge of the standards required for delivering care to individuals with learning disabilities, including respect for dignity and equality.
Desirable Skills
  • Positive Behavioural Support: Basic understanding and application of Positive Behavioural Support strategies.
  • Management Experience: Care Setting focused on Learning Disabilities and Mental Health.
  • Qualification: Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Background in Supported Living Services: Strong background in supported living services working with people who have learning disabilities.
