About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit Senior to join our team in Taunton. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of audit assignments from planning to completion, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of audit assignments, ensuring quality audit fieldwork and meeting budgets and deadlines.
  • Lead onsite audit teams, undertaking testing and ensuring audit procedures are followed meticulously.
  • Draft corporation and income tax computations, liaising with HMRC as needed.
  • Supervise and coach junior staff, reviewing work and providing feedback.
  • Manage own workload, updating managers with work progress and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Liaise directly with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries.
  • Champion your own professional development, learning from the experienced team and staying up-to-date with industry developments.

The Successful Applicant
  • ACCA or ACA qualified, part-qualified, or studying.
  • Proven track record of leading audit assignments within a practice environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to progress.
  • A strong work ethic, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team and progress within the firm.
  • Hands-on attitude towards building client relationships.
  • Proactive problem solver with a keen eye for detail.
