Job Title: Experienced Teaching Assistant Wanted

Location: Derby

Contract Type: Full time, part time, adhoc

Rate of Pay: £83-97 per day

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to work across our Primary Schools, on a temporary cover basis supporting with full time, part time and day-to-day requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the physical, social and emotional well-being of children
  • Keep accurate records and attend review meetings as required
  • Use initiative to adapt class work to suit student needs
  • Work alongside other members of staff to provide outstanding support to all students
  • Recognise signs of distress in children and offer reassurance
  • Form positive relationships with children and support them in developing confidence in all areas
  • Work with children with different SEN requirements, including small groups and one-to-one support

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with SEND students is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High expectations of all pupils and a commitment to Safeguarding
  • A DBS registered with the update service or a willingness to process and pay for a new one
