About the Role

Simpson Judge Ltd is seeking a senior Planning Law specialist to join our team. As a senior figure in our department, you will be responsible for managing a large and reputable Real Estate team's caseload, handling complex planning matters, and providing expert advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of complex planning matters, including planning agreements, community infrastructure levy, permitted development, heritage, highways, compulsory acquisition, environmental assessment, appeals, public inquiries, enforcement, judicial review, and planning and restrictive covenant insurance.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts to touch base with and stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Collaborate with our Real Estate team to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on planning law matters, including village greens and rights of light.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in planning law, with a strong track record of managing complex caseloads.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
