Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join a reputable BAFE accredited Fire Services firm experiencing growth. This position is ideal for a qualified professional looking to contribute to a dynamic team.
Role Details:
This is a field-based role, primarily operating within a designated radius, though projects may extend nationwide. A willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight is necessary.
Compensation:
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
Benefits include:
- Company Van and Fuel Card
- Standard working hours ending at 5 PM
- 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
- Pension scheme
- Overtime opportunities
- On-call standby fee of £175 for 1 in 3 weeks, with a non-aggressive callout policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct maintenance on fire alarm systems and perform small works and commissioning of fire detection systems.
- Execute emergency lighting tests in conjunction with fire alarm maintenance across various projects, including those for construction firms, housing providers, and both private and commercial clients.
- Maintain exceptional client care through face-to-face interactions, telephone communication, and email correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with established systems and accurately record all activities using company software.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the fire safety industry.
- Relevant FIA qualifications.
- Proven experience in commercial projects.
- Proficiency in fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting, and fire suppression systems.
- Familiarity with Apollo, Gent, Notifier, and Advanced systems.
- Strong electrical background with fault-finding experience across both conventional and addressable systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Candidates should be local to the designated area.
