Job Description

Main Activities/Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting
    • Provide support for the accounting, tax, and treasury functions for all UK companies.
    • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Treasury Management
    • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and funding requirements for the company.
    • Develop and implement treasury strategies to optimize financial performance.
    • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Tax Compliance
    • Ensure accurate and timely tax compliance, including corporation tax, VAT, and other applicable taxes.
    • Prepare and submit tax returns and other tax-related documents.
    • Monitor and analyze tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Develop and implement financial plans and forecasts to support business growth and strategy.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of accounting and treasury professionals.
    • Develop and implement team goals and objectives.
    • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to team members.

Requirements

  • Relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong accounting background, ideally with audit and tax experience.
  • Experienced in working under own initiative, demonstrating an ability to set and meet personal targets.
  • IT knowledge, including email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP or other ERP system.
