About the Role

At Allied Bakeries, we are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and site services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactive Maintenance: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Breakdown Resolution: Diagnose and correct automation, electrical, and mechanical issues to resolve breakdown situations and minimize production losses.
  • Engineering Strategy: Ensure the consistent delivery of our engineering strategy and drive the performance of the Engineering function forward.
  • Turn-Key Projects: Deliver turn-key improvement projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner, focusing on process optimization and efficiency gains.
  • Site Performance: Focus on safe working practices and site performance KPIs, including OEE and CCOs, to drive continuous improvement and excellence.
Requirements
  • Team Player: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent Communication: Possess excellent communication skills to train, coach, and assist operators and other engineers.
  • Technical Expertise: Hold a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in an electrical, automation, or multiskilled engineering discipline, supported by suitable experience.
  • Continuous Improvement: Demonstrate enthusiasm and motivation, with a passion for continuous improvement and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
