About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Nurse to join our Respiratory team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Respiratory Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our respiratory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based clinical care to patients with respiratory conditions, including those requiring interventions such as Bi-Pap and Optiflow.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care, including physiotherapy and other specialist services.
- Act as a role model, communicating effectively with patients, carers, and staff to promote a positive and supportive environment.
- Take responsibility for delegated patients and their care needs, working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Contribute to the development of respiratory services, including the implementation of new treatments and therapies.
Person Specification
- NMC registration
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in respiratory care or a related field
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
