About the Role

Russell Taylor Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Chemist to join our team as a Principal Analyst in our Organic Testing Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of business improvement ideas, as well as providing technical expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to our Quality Management System (QMS) and communicate with clients on technical matters.
  • Assist in the maintenance of our analytical instrumentation and equipment, ensuring they are kept in a clean and serviceable condition.
  • Develop and implement business improvement ideas across all areas of the laboratory.
  • Investigate and conduct non-routine methodology and data generation as required by clients and the business.
  • Support the organics department in areas requiring advanced expertise in analytical chemistry.
  • Perform ongoing training for the organic laboratory team.
  • Respond to client queries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Comply with ISO 17025:2017 and MCERTS requirements of your role.
Requirements
  • Hold a Degree in a relevant scientific or chemistry-based discipline (or higher).
  • 5+ years of experience in an analytical organic testing laboratory working to UKAS 17025 standards.
  • GC MS/GC method development experience and method validation experience.
  • Experience in training analysts on associated test equipment and QMS.
  • Experience in reporting analytical results internally and externally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
