We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-invasive cardiac investigations, including ECG, ambulatory monitoring, and ECG interpretation and analysis. They will also assist in exercise tolerance testing, head-up tilt testing, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
The post holder will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality diagnostic services to patients. They will be expected to adhere to Trust, professional, and local policies and procedures to ensure evidence-based quality diagnostic provision and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ambulatory ECG and BP recordings, including event recorders.
- Analyze resting and ambulatory ECG and BP recordings, including event recorders.
- Support exercise stress echoes and exercise tolerance testing with appropriate training.
- Support head-up tilt table testing (HUTT) with appropriate training.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and contribute to issues relating to quality of care, technical standards, and efficiency improvements.
- Maintain clinical documentation and databases as directed, and adhere to departmental standards of record keeping with respect to accuracy, timeliness of completion, and confidentiality.
- BSc in Cardiac Physiology or equivalent or BSc in Healthcare Science (PTP) – Clinical Cardiac Physiology or MSc in Healthcare Science (STP) – Clinical Cardiac Physiology.
- Immediate Life Support (ILS).
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- Strong underpinning knowledge of exercise tolerance testing, resting and ambulatory ECG and BP recording and interpretation.
- All CRM device follow-up experience.
