Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at CV Library. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, conducting site visits, and analyzing blueprints to ensure budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
  2. Conduct site visits to gather data for pricing and ensure project progress
  3. Analyze blueprints and documentation to prepare time, cost, and labour estimates
  4. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best deals
  5. Monitor project costs and progress to ensure budget compliance and identify areas for improvement
  6. Prepare and submit progress and cost reports to management
  7. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to costs and contracts
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  2. Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS)
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the engineering industry
  4. Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  5. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
Working Conditions:
  1. Office-based work with occasional site visits
  2. Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  3. Travel within the South East England region may be required
