We are seeking a skilled Cargo Inspector to join our team at Intertek. As a Cargo Inspector, you will be responsible for independently assessing the quantity and quality of materials, including Crude Oil, Petroleum Products, Petrochemicals, and Petroleum Gases.

• Perform cargo sampling and take measurements to complete calculations for accurate reporting to the client.
• Ensure all work carried out in the operation follows the agreed procedures as set out in the generic Management system and relevant local Inspection management system documents.
• Attend commodity material movements involving line and tank transfer or displacement, lightering, and loading and unloading.
• Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport, and company personnel to promote the smooth exercise of duties assigned.
• Verify and communicate the results obtained, and make the entries into the appropriate media, whether print or electronic, required to ensure the validity and traceability of the information.

• Previous experience in the petrochemical/Inspection industry is beneficial but not required.
• Hold a valid driving license.
• Willing to work unsociable and unpredictable hours.
• Be comfortable with the physical demands of the role.
• Able to work with limited supervision.
• Have good problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Ability to gain knowledge of relevant standards and perform the practical aspects of the job.
• Good communication skills.
• Be computer literate and numerate.
