About the Role

Lightfoots LLP Solicitors is a leading law firm, recognized for its exceptional service and expertise in commercial real estate law. We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Solicitor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lease Management: Handle and draft leases for both landlords and tenants, ensuring compliance with the 1954 Act.
  • Commercial Transactions: Advise and handle commercial and mixed commercial sale and purchase transactions, including secured lending and estate development.
  • Development Work: Handle acquisition and subsequent plot sale work for small to medium-sized residential developments.
  • Planning and Ancillary Documents: Advise on planning issues and prepare ancillary documents, including deeds of easement and deeds of variation.
  • Secured Lending: Advise on secured lending transactions and prepare contract packs with supporting documents.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, clients' agents, borrowers, asset managers, buyers' solicitors, and internal departments to ensure seamless communication and project management.
  • Post-Completion Issues: Deal with post-completion issues and ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Marketing and Business Development: Attend marketing meetings to raise the firm's profile and specific practice.
  • Case Management and Billing: Use case management systems on a day-to-day basis and handle client billing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in advising developers, occupiers, estates, private companies, and other landowners is essential.
  • Commercial Property Expertise: Experience in commercial property work, particularly Landlord and Tenant 1954 Act work, is required.
  • Skills: Proactive, commercial and financial awareness, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a true team ethos.
