Solar PV Operations and Maintenance Manager

Solar PV Operations and Maintenance Manager (O&M) at SENS - Iqony Solar Energy Solutions UK is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of large-scale ground and roof mounted solar PV and, in the future, battery systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate subcontractor activities, manage contracts, and draft maintenance reports to track cases and mitigate under-performance.
  2. Oversee all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring optimal system performance.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, co-developers, electricians, designers, and project managers.
  4. Manage special projects as required, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  5. Maintain site health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all on-site personnel.
  6. Network and promote SENS UK as a reliable and well-funded organization with long-term relationships.
Requirements:
  1. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player with a good understanding of solar PV plant commissioning, operations, and troubleshooting.
  2. Fully understands principles of solar PV plant design, installation, and utility-scale PV and ancillary electrical systems.
  3. Maintains thorough knowledge of SENS, co-developers, and subcontractor capabilities, as well as emerging technologies and their field applications.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, data acquisition systems, and remote computing.
  5. 5-10 years of relevant experience, with a can-do attitude and ability to work alone and as part of a team.
