Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a child with multiple medical needs in a primary school setting.

About the Role

This is a temporary post working 30 hours per week, term time plus two days. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the class teacher to support the child's learning and provide care for their medical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the child's learning and development in a primary school setting
  • Provide care and support for the child's medical needs
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Engage and motivate the child to participate in learning activities
  • Support the child's social and emotional development
Requirements

The successful candidate will need to have:

  • A relevant recognized NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of Grade C in GSCE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in a primary school setting
  • Experience within the care sector would be preferable
