Key Responsibilities of the Culinary Specialist:
- Delivering a high-quality and adaptable catering service that meets the diverse dietary requirements of our residents.
- Overseeing the food and labor budget by effectively planning schedules, purchasing supplies, and managing costs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Handling orders, managing food stock locations, conducting audits, and maintaining accurate records of labor and cash transactions.
- Implementing and managing the Food Safety Management System, ensuring all team members are trained and compliant.
- Coordinating cleaning and maintenance schedules for all food service areas and kitchen equipment to uphold sanitation and safety standards.
- Conducting risk assessments and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
- Assisting in the supervision and development of kitchen staff.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a catering environment, particularly in preparing meals for diverse groups.
- Level 2 Diploma in Catering and Hospitality is required.
- A valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is essential.
- Familiarity with online catering management software.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Experience in budget management is advantageous.
- A friendly demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills to engage with residents, visitors, and colleagues.
