About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer to lead their own research group within the department of Engineering at UCL Eastman Dental Institute. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to propose a programme of research of their choice, aligned with the interests of the department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and teaching new modules, offering mentorship and support to their team, acting as personal tutor for students on our taught programmes, supervising student projects, and contributing to the effective running of the department.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a PhD level degree or equivalent in Engineering, the Physical Sciences, Computer Science, or a relevant field. The ideal candidate will have experience in producing independent, original, impactful, and rigorous research contributions in their field, as well as experience of supervising BSc, MSc, and PhD level students and delivering university-level teaching at either BSc or MSc level.

The successful candidate will be able to communicate their vision for their research group and demonstrate how it could flourish within UCL Eastman Dental Institute. They will also have experience of the research funding process and grant writing.
