About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hygiene Operative to join our team at KatKin. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily cleaning tasks, including deep cleans of machinery and equipment, to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

  • Conduct post-cleaning checks to ensure that all areas meet our high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

  • Document and report any site, machinery, or equipment maintenance required to the Hygiene Manager.

  • Replenish cleaning and hygiene consumables in the kitchen.

  • Ensure that all hygiene and cleaning paperwork is correctly completed.

  • Operate and maintain machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions at work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in a food hygiene operative role.

  • Good understanding of hygiene standards and usage of cleaning chemicals.

  • Working level of speaking and reading English.

  • Able to understand and work with numbers.

  • Strong, organized way of working, with the ability to work without supervision.

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team.

  • Comfortable working with raw protein.

  • Ability to work with chemicals, in a physical role, and night shifts.

  • Passionate about food safety and hygiene.
