Site Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our Transportation team to work on our A417 project based in Gloucester.

As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our transportation projects. Your primary responsibility will be to work in conjunction with the Site team to ensure construction is carried out accurately, quality is maintained, records are kept, abortive or defective work is avoided, and satisfactory progress is achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances and regularly checking setting out points, benchmarks, setting out instruments, and measuring equipment.
  • Assisting in managing systems to record the quality of work completed, testing workmanship, and materials.
  • Providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered.
  • Ensuring overall responsibility for achieving Health & Safety targets on scheme.
  • Supporting your Manager with undertaking of their duties.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience of setting out and surveying.
  • Positive attitude, demonstrating initiative and able to plan workload and prioritise.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety and holder of relevant CSCS card.
