Therapist Role for Aspris Children's Services

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Aspris Children's Services Limited. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality therapy services to our students, working closely with other professionals to support their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 1:1 assessments to identify students' communication needs
  • Attend meetings and EHCP reviews to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Observe and coach staff to enhance their understanding of students' communication requirements
  • Develop and implement individualized programs to support students' communication development
  • Deliver direct time sessions to students, providing targeted therapy to meet their needs

Requirements:

  • Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., RCSLT)
  • BSc Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with students with varying degrees of emotional behavioral difficulties, autism, ADHD, and associated difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Working Arrangements:

The successful candidate will work across our two school sites in Staffordshire and Derbyshire, with a rota that includes:

  • 2 days at Strathmore College (Stoke)
  • 2 days at Eastwood Grange School (Ashover, Derby)
  • 1 day at Rugeley School (Blithbury)
