Escape Recruitment Services is collaborating with a prominent manufacturing organization to find a skilled CMM Operator.
Position Overview
This position involves working within the final inspection division, utilizing calibrated mechanical measuring instruments alongside CMM technology to ensure the quality of intricate products and manufactured components.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and validate incoming materials by verifying specifications, performing visual and measurement assessments, and rejecting non-compliant materials.
- Certify finished products by confirming specifications, executing visual and measurement evaluations, and sending items back for reprocessing as necessary.
- Record inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and logs, summarizing rework and waste, and entering data into a quality management system.
- Maintain measurement tools in proper working order by adhering to operational guidelines, calibration protocols, and requesting repairs when needed.
Required Skills and Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient in utilizing measurement tools such as height gauges, Go/No-go gauges, Vernier calipers, surface roughness gauges, and other hand-held measuring devices.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Understanding of engineering and CAD drawings.
Experience with Mitutoyo CMM and MCOSMOS programming is advantageous.
A minimum of two years of experience in a final inspection role is required.
