Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting regular inspections of facility equipment and coordinating with external contractors and specialists as necessary.
  • Performing general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, and upkeep of warehouse structures.
  • Capable of working at heights for racking maintenance.
  • Implementing safe isolation procedures when servicing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Issuing and managing contractor permits, along with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) after appropriate training.
  • Maintaining a clean working environment and adhering to cleanliness policies.
  • Ensuring the proper maintenance and secure storage of issued tools.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with general maintenance techniques and practices.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and basic power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Possession of a Counterbalance license or willingness to obtain one through recognized training.
  • Scissor Lift License or readiness to undergo training to acquire it.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and attend training sessions to enhance professional capabilities, including working at height training.
  • Collaborating with the existing Facilities team to maintain high standards across all site areas.
