Job Title: Principal Psychologist

We are seeking an experienced Principal Psychologist to join our team at Thornford Park, a medium and low secure service for men and women. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering strategic and clinical strategies to grow and further develop the care pathway through specialist psychological advice and consultations.

About the Role
  • Deputise for the Lead Psychologist in their absence
  • Take a key role in service development
  • Line manage specified team members
  • Provide robust clinical supervision and support in appraisals and in the professional development of the team
  • Provide evidence-based psychological assessment
  • Provision of 1:1 and group interventions to patients to address a range of needs
  • Contribute to MDT care planning and review
  • Contribute to professional development within the team
  • Contribute to audit and research as directed by the line manager
  • Engage in CPD
About You
  • BPS accredited and HCPC approved Doctorate
  • HCPC Registered
  • Eligible for Chartered Membership of the BPS
  • Post-doctoral level knowledge and application of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis
