Working Hours: 1950 hours annually - this position is structured around annualized hours, meaning your monthly hours may fluctuate, but your salary will be distributed in 12 equal payments. This is a full-time role requiring work 5 days a week throughout the year, with shifts scheduled between 9am and 6pm, no evening work, and closure on designated holidays.
Compensation: £23,869 per year.

Responsibilities
As a Culinary Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to assist in preparing and presenting exquisite dishes from scratch using fresh, seasonal produce. Your culinary creations will be served directly to our guests.
Our kitchen is equipped for preparation, batch cooking, and baking, and you may work collaboratively with a team or independently during quieter times. You will be responsible for crafting soups, sandwiches, hearty meals, baked potatoes, and an array of desserts. Our bustling cafe kitchen is dedicated to finishing and serving, where some dishes are heated for service and others are prepared fresh.
Additionally, we operate a kiosk offering pizzas from our wood-fired oven and brunch options during peak times.
A flexible work approach is essential, as you will also support our front-of-house team in delivering outstanding service to our visitors.
Utilizing our 'National Trust Cookbook' framework, you will measure, mix, and prepare ingredients. You will assist with deliveries and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while facilitating smooth service.
We will provide a tailored induction, training in allergens and food safety, along with any necessary mentoring to support your role. Opportunities for further professional development and training are available should you wish to pursue them.
