About the Role

As an Application Architect, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of digital support at Social Security Scotland. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and design innovative solutions that meet those needs. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify problems and recommend effective solutions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and implement application architectures that meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and design solutions
  • Provide technical guidance and challenge to senior stakeholders
  • Identify problems and translate them into non-technical descriptions
  • Support Social Security governance activities and contribute to architectural strategies
  • Build a deep understanding of business and digital strategies to identify suitable solutions
  • Provide guidance on technology best practices and continuous improvement
  • Produce application architecture deliverables and collaborate with cyber security colleagues
  • Review technical proposals from external suppliers
  • Work in an agile, multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Take an open and collaborative approach to working and sharing knowledge
