About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Beaumont Care Homes. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional catering services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of kitchen colleagues to deliver a first-class catering service
  • Prepare menus in consultation with the Cook Manager, Home Manager, residents, families, and catering committees
  • Ensure the quantity and quality of all food served meets nutritional standards
  • Prepare beverages and snacks throughout the day, catering to residents' needs and choices
  • Plan and deliver set menus in the absence of the Cook Manager
  • Take responsibility for stock taking, stock rotation, and storage of stock, including checking and receiving deliveries
  • Monitor and replenish kitchen and food stocks in conjunction with the Home Manager
  • Assist in supervising all other kitchen staff and ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food preparation are maintained

Requirements

  • 1 year's experience working in a kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety management
  • Ability to work under own initiative and in a fast-paced environment
  • Polite and courteous, energetic, and outgoing
  • Team player who engages well with others
  • Willing to positively contribute towards enhancing quality and service levels for all service users
