We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at the Health Research Authority. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in providing financial insights and strategic support to our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and report on monthly management accounts to inform business decisions.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to drive strategic planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business strategy and decision-making.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency improvements across the organization.
- Support year-end financial processes and liaise with auditors to ensure compliance.
- Continuously improve financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance operational efficiency.

Person Specification
- CCAB or CIMA finalist or passed finalist or qualified by extensive experience in all aspects of management and financial accountancy.
- Prior experience of NHS Finance principles and procedures.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and finance ledger systems.
- Experience of business planning and investment appraisal.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to plan tasks and demonstrate flexibility as required.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- High level numeracy skills and ability to understand, interpret, and explain highly complex financial information across the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence and negotiate complex situations.
- Commitment to inclusivity and valuing diversity.
