Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual and CNC-based machinery for metal processing
  • Process steel to customers' requirements and tolerances
  • Read and interpret drawings, orders, and verbal instructions
  • Safely operate forklifts, CombiLifts, and cranes
  • Perform daily checks on equipment, cranes, and forklifts/CombiLifts
  • Collate orders, including banding, palletizing, bagging, and preparing them for loading
  • Load and offload plate and parts from plasma and laser machines
  • Identify and locate different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of machines and work areas
  • Report any accidents and incidents to the HS&E Manager
  • Report any machine faults or breakdowns to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
