Job Title: Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at The Action Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing housing support and care at home services to adults and children in Midlothian.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide a caring and efficient support service to individuals, promoting their independence, well-being, and daily life skills.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with service users, supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Assist with personal care, household tasks, and daily living activities, ensuring the highest standards of care and support.
  • Advocate on behalf of service users, liaising with external organizations and professionals to ensure their needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support and care services.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and PVG clearance.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care and support.
