We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our client's dynamic team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This award-winning business is dedicated to creating exciting career opportunities for its employees, emphasizing innovation, collaboration, and recognition.

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • A recognized UK accountancy qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
  • 2-3 years of recent experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-growing business
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas
  • Strong and clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work to deadlines and maintain accurate financial records
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 is desirable

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing the monthly management accounts for submission to the Board of Directors
  • Conducting analytical interrogation of financial data and presenting findings to the management team
  • Working with external auditors to deliver annual statutory accounts
  • Collecting weekly and monthly payroll data for submission to a third-party payroll provider
  • Developing and maintaining financial controls and procedures
  • Maintaining and reconciling the balance sheet, including fixed asset registers
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns and annual P11Ds and PSA returns to HMRC
  • Developing monthly cost center reviews
  • Deputizing for the Financial Controller as required
