Job Title: Postal Delivery Driver

Job Summary:

Pertemps Scotland is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Postal Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering mail and parcels to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sorting and Collecting: Start your day in the local delivery office sorting and collecting post and parcels to be delivered.
  • Customer Service: Use a hand-held device to capture customer signatures for deliveries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Physical Demands: The role will be physically demanding, requiring you to walk at least 8 miles per day and carry a bag that can weigh up to 16kg, delivering letters and parcels, with parcels weighing up to 20kg.
  • Driving and On-Foot Delivery: Drive and deliver mail and parcels to customers, and push/pull a trolley during deliveries.

Requirements:

  • Valid UK Driving License: Hold a valid UK driving license with a maximum of 6 points.
  • Previous Experience: Previous delivery or driving experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Time Management and Organisation: Possess excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure timely delivery of mail and parcels.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Demonstrate strong communication and customer service abilities to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Safe and Responsible Driving Practices: Commit to safe and responsible driving practices, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Working in All Weather Conditions: Be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
