Job Title: Visiting Examiner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Visiting Examiner to join our team at Pearson. As a Visiting Examiner, you will be responsible for marking candidates' performance in GCE German A Level examinations.

Responsibilities:

  • Mark candidates' performance in accordance with published marking criteria and procedures.
  • Report any difficulties encountered during the assessment to Pearson.
  • Undertake an agreed allocation of local centres.
  • Submit written reports to the Chief Examiner and/or Team Leaders.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree or equivalent.
  • Be a qualified teacher.
  • Have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant qualification and subject, since qualifying as a teacher.

Competencies:

  • High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • IT literacy.
