Electronics Test Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Test Engineer to join our team at our central Norwich site. As an Electronics Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the factory acceptance testing of a wide range of machinery, from component level to final assembly.

The successful candidate will have the ability to test complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems, read and understand engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams. Proficiency in soldering, crimping, lacing, and splicing is also required, as well as competence in the use of electronic test equipment and the ability to follow complex test specifications.

Familiarity with a variety of Mil Spec Connectors, Cable Ident, and Cable production techniques is essential, as is ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) awareness. Assembly and testing/repair of PCBs is also a key aspect of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test complex electronic and electro-mechanical systems
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and circuit diagrams
  • Proficient in soldering, crimping, lacing, and splicing
  • Competent in the use of electronic test equipment
  • Familiarity with Mil Spec Connectors, Cable Ident, and Cable production techniques
  • ESD awareness
  • Assembly and testing/repair of PCBs
Requirements:
  • Recognised apprenticeship in electronics or electro-mechanical engineering
  • Education to a minimum of NVQ/City & Guilds level 3 in a relevant discipline
