Job DescriptionJob Duties:The Supply Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Duties include following lesson plans, managing classroom behaviour, assessing student work, and providing feedback to students and school staff.
Required Qualifications:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications are essential for this role. A valid DBS check is required prior to starting work as a Supply Teacher.
Education:A degree in Education or a related field is required for this position.
Experience:Prior experience teaching in a classroom setting is preferred. Experience working with students of varying ages and abilities is beneficial.
Knowledge and Skills:Strong knowledge of the national curriculum, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students are essential. Good classroom management skills and the ability to work independently are also required.
Preferred Qualifications:Additional qualifications in special education, subject-specific expertise, or experience in working as a Supply Teacher in a similar setting are advantageous.
