Role Overview:
As a Senior Electrical Engineering Consultant, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of training programs tailored for apprentices in the engineering sector. Your role will also involve promoting and developing specialized apprenticeship initiatives in collaboration with industry partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct Training Needs Analysis for organizations regarding apprenticeship and training programs.
2. Develop Individual and Group Learning Plans, coordinating initial skills assessments for apprentices.
3. Collaborate with college personnel to ensure effective planning, delivery, and assessment of training programs, while monitoring apprentice progress.
4. Evaluate and review apprentices in line with both internal and external standards, primarily focusing on engineering disciplines.
5. Oversee and report on the performance of the learner journey, ensuring quality assurance and continuous improvement in apprenticeship programs.
6. Deliver educational sessions as required, contributing up to 170 hours of teaching and training related to electrical engineering.
7. Support the Business Development Manager in promoting apprenticeship programs and assist with administrative tasks related to these initiatives.
8. Engage in monitoring, evaluation, and assessment processes to enhance student learning outcomes.
9. Participate in the recruitment, enrollment, and orientation of apprentices.
10. Foster effective communication between academic staff and employers, ensuring a cohesive relationship.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A-C) including English and Mathematics or equivalent Level 2 qualifications, with the ability to achieve these with support within a specified timeframe.
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant vocational field.
- Experience in teaching or training.
- Proven experience in planning training for individuals and/or organizations.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Risk Assessments.
Professional Development:
Engage in 30 hours (pro-rata) of continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
