About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Owen Daniels Consultancy. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and efficient IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain compute physical/virtual and storage environments, ensuring systems and services are secure and up-to-date.
  • Oversee systems and services maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and decommissioning of servers.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the hosting and identify management team in Fribourg, ensuring resource demand is met with the correct balance of skillset and consistency.
  • Proactively support and manage the Divisional portfolio of infrastructure solutions, ensuring platforms run effectively, securely, and efficiently.
  • Perform problem identification and root cause analysis for complex issues, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and review service performance at a component level, identifying areas for improvement and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
  • Apply and lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency of systems and processes.
  • Train and mentor team members, providing leadership and guidance to ensure the team is equipped to meet the demands of the role.
Technical Requirements
  • Apply standard security requirements to protect systems, including SOX, CMCC, and Air Cyber.
  • Prepare process documentation to specify operations to be performed by systems.
  • Upgrades and maintains systems after implementation.
  • Transition and update LAN and WAN.
  • Decommission servers.
  • Knowledge of Dell APEX, CommVault solutions, and Cybersecurity experience is an asset.
