ATA Recruitment is representing a prominent UK manufacturer specializing in technical chemical products. We are seeking a proficient and qualified CompEx Maintenance Engineer to oversee upgrades, maintenance, and repairs of production machinery.


This role involves:

  • Leading maintenance operations for industrial machinery
  • Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager
  • Ensuring compliance with CompEx and ATEX regulations
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and schematics
  • Executing safe installations of electrical systems including distribution, 3-phase power, cabling, transformers, and relays
  • Conducting measurements and tests of electrical supply to meet safety standards and procedures

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • CompEx Qualification for Gas and Vapours (Ex01 – Ex04) / ATEX
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Level 3 electrical installations or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong awareness of Health and Safety protocols
  • Ability to work independently with a focus on precision
  • Experience in complex installation project environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
