Job Description

Role Purpose:

As a key member of the Analytics and Data Science team at Datatech Analytics, the Customer Data Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to produce high-quality analysis and insights. This role involves interacting with a diverse group of stakeholders to drive a deeper understanding of customers across the organization, informing future strategies, improving customer experience, enhancing engagement, driving revenue, and optimizing business efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop in-depth analyses related to customer understanding, CRM & Loyalty, marketing performance, and broader retail insights.
  2. Contribute to the provision of information on customer health, including growth contributions, cohort analysis, and churn rates.
  3. Deliver Performance Improvement Reports (PIRs) on the Company's Loyalty schemes and CRM activities, identifying opportunities and making informed recommendations.
  4. Create forecasts and measure campaign performance across Marketing channels, including true incrementality, ROI, and contribution to owned exclusive brand mix.
  5. Support in-depth analysis and incremental analysis into performance to generate actionable insights.
  6. Engage actively with the wider data community across the group, collaborating with the group data team and other banners across the group.
  7. Bring external thinking to the Organization by maintaining awareness of analytics usage in retail and other sectors and staying up-to-date with competitor technology and developments.
  8. Support the growth of new channels, services, digital, marketplaces, and retail media with key analysis and information.
  9. Collaborate with the Analytics Manager to build relationships with key stakeholders from across the business and translate ambitions and goals into analytical challenges.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  1. Strong knowledge of SQL and working with large and complex data sets.
  2. Proven experience of working with customer data to find key insights to inform and drive change within the business.
  3. Experience of marketing campaign design and analysis could be beneficial.
  4. A good understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality principles.
  5. A curiosity about customer behavioral analysis and omnichannel personalization.
  6. A commercial mindset, prioritizing the actions and usefulness of outputs.
  7. Excellent communication skills, able to bring value to others through storytelling and visualizations.
