Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our professional team, you will work from your home-base or our South East office, depending on your individual circumstances. We offer a flexible working approach, allowing you to balance your work and personal life.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Carry out inspections and provide advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.
- Measured Surveys and Defect Diagnosis: Conduct measured surveys, defect diagnosis, and associated investigations to determine the condition of existing buildings, identifying and analyzing defects, including proposals for repair.
- Report Preparation and Tender Analysis: Prepare reports, specifications, and drawings for repairs, refurbishment, demolition, and re-building of all types of buildings, and tend projects with post-tender analysis.
- Contract Administration: Oversee works using recognized building contracts and current technical standards, working independently as a project lead with sound knowledge of all aspects of professional consultancy services.
- Legislative Compliance: Understand and apply relevant legislation, including health and safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning regulation.
- Business Development: Play an active part in promoting the company's services to secure projects and promote the business.
About You
- Project Management Experience: Experienced in project management, design, and contract administration (JCT) - Essential.
- Insurance Reinstatement Experience: Insurance reinstatement experience - Desirable.
- Peril Experience: Experienced in dealing with all perils.
- Professional Qualifications: MRICS qualified.
- Driving License: Hold a full UK driving license.
