About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EC&I Engineer to join our team at Daldowie Fuel Plant, one of the largest plants of its type in Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing electrical maintenance, control and instrumentation, and software engineering requirements and associated activities for the plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage and direct electrical maintenance, control and instrumentation, and software engineering requirements and associated activities for the Daldowie Plant.
  • Coordinate Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance activities.
  • Instigate and devise local potential business development and improvement schemes.
  • Provide management and leadership necessary to deliver the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant production of fuel at Daldowie.
  • Maximise the financial contribution to the Hydro Business through effectively managing and utilising financial, people, and materials and parts resources.
Requirements
  • Suitably qualified (minimum HND) in EC&I or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer status or equivalent at a relevant institute IET would be beneficial but isn't essential.
  • Extensive and demonstrable relevant work experience in the EC&I Engineering industry.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certificate in Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of EC&I engineering industry standards and legislation.
