Position Overview

Technical Maintenance Specialist

Are you a skilled Technical Maintenance Specialist with experience in a fast-paced production environment?

Do you possess a strong background in engineering disciplines?

MacGregor Black is collaborating with a Prominent Consumer Goods Company to find a Technical Maintenance Specialist. This is a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs, and equipment changeovers
  • Enhance and refine maintenance protocols and systems
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency and reliability
  • Contribute to site enhancements, modifications, and capital projects
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to fellow engineers as needed
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on facility equipment and technologies
  • Assist in conducting PUWER, LOLER, and risk assessments

Qualifications

  • Completed apprenticeship in an engineering field
  • Level 3 education, HNC preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Capable of working under pressure with meticulous attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the consumer goods sector
  • Familiarity with PLC systems
  • 17th or 18th edition electrical certification
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems
  • BOAS certification

Compensation

Salary approximately £45,000.

Work schedule includes alternating day and night shifts.
