Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Programme Supervisor to join our team at Bristol City Council. As a Programme Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising a team responsible for delivering a programme of improvements, repairs, and/or maintenance projects to the City Council's stock of dwellings, buildings, and land managed by Housing & Landlord Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and control programmes end to end, including contract administration of contracts associated with all domestic property Kitchen refurbishment and Rewiring programmes.
  • Manage a team of staff, holding meetings with Contractors, where appropriate, holding them to account using KPIs, monitoring quality, and authorising payments.
  • Be responsible for the planning, developing, and control of programmes, ensuring work of the highest quality is maintained through continuous improvement, while ensuring value for money.
  • Work closely with the team to achieve targets and drive the programme forward.

Requirements

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant construction field, plus further relevant practical experience, or equivalent knowledge and skill demonstrated from significant relevant experience in a building, surveying, or similar construction-related environment.
  • Comprehensive experience of effective supervision of professional and technical staff, contractors, sub-contractors, or developers.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety issues and requirements related to the Construction Industry, including CDM Regs, and especially in relation to the project/programme area of work.
  • Ability to take ownership and be accountable for all aspects of the service/project/programme from end-to-end, ensuring delivery within timescales, high quality, and excellent customer satisfaction in the Social Housing environment.
