Job Overview

RHL Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-profile projects and sites, with a focus on pipelines and storage facilities in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project control from initial approval through to commissioning and handover.
  • Ensure agreed staff-hours and cost targets are adhered to.
  • Prepare project plans and programmes.

Project Management:

  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks.

Design and Engineering:

  • Design and develop engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and manage design risks.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design and construction drawings.

Procurement and Contract Management:

  • Prepare and manage contract documentation, ensuring compliance with company and client requirements.
  • Evaluate tenders and recommend contract awards.
  • Monitor and manage project spend, ensuring adherence to budget.

Construction and Commissioning:

  • Manage on-site construction contracts, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Liaise with on-site staff to ensure health and safety targets are achieved.
  • Assist in the preparation of commissioning plans, ensuring smooth project handover.

General:

  • Maintain excellent client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Adapt to changing priorities, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to client needs.
  • Ensure good engineering practices are maintained, adhering to company standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Graduate Engineer with BEng equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering or consultancy.
  • Knowledge in specified engineering discipline, preferably in the context of design, project engineering, and construction.
  • Proficient with desktop applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
