We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Safety Officer to join our team at Great Places Housing Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our properties.
Key Responsibilities- Manage fire risk assessment actions and ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Assist with the management and delivery of fire-related contracts and contractors.
- Provide effective liaison with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure customer communications and access to properties.
- Conduct routine inspections of communal areas, blocks, and individual flats to ensure safety and compliance.
- Monitor the building and fire safety inbox and provide competent advice to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Work with partners to ensure a matrix of fire and building safety responsibilities is created and understood.
- Ensure all certification and reports are verified, reported, and actioned in a timely manner.
- Undertake post-inspections of works and maintain effective records and administrative systems.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation, building regulations, policies, and best practices.

- Nebosh Fire Certificate or equivalent.
- Level 4 award in Asset and Building Management Compliance or willingness to work towards it.

- Use of Microsoft Office and ability to complete tasks accurately and timely.
- Attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and outside normal working hours when needed.
