We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Rockstar Games. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for driving anti-cheat and security initiatives for our creator platforms, including FiveM and RedM.
About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our game development studio in the heart of Leeds, England. As a Security Specialist, you will create innovative solutions to enhance the security of our products and protect our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain new technologies to enhance anti-cheat measures for the FiveM/RedM game client, server, and supporting backend services.
- Collaborate with our development team to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain secure coding practices and guidelines for our development team.
- Work closely with our game development team to ensure seamless integration of security features.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience on a software development team using C++ in an agile development environment.
- Prior professional and/or personal experience in security, reverse engineering, and/or game development.
- Experience with crash dumps and x64 assembly.
- Demonstrable experience with C/C++ programming.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an emphasis on debugging C++ code.
- Analytical skills geared towards the measurement of system performance, memory use, etc.
- Familiarity with game protection technologies and core cryptography concepts.
- Experience with 3rd party anti-cheat technologies.
