We invite applications for the role of Audiologist to become a vital part of our innovative and forward-thinking Audiology team.

We seek a qualified professional with a degree in audiology or a related field. The selected candidates will contribute to the provision of our Audiology services.

The successful candidate will integrate into a multidisciplinary team comprising extended scope Audiologists, Clinical Scientists, Newborn Hearing Screeners, clinical nurse specialists, voice therapists, and ENT specialists, delivering a comprehensive range of specialist services to a local population of approximately 360,000 individuals.

Key Responsibilities

Our department, accredited under the Improving Quality in Physiological Measurement Services (IQIPS) programme, offers a full spectrum of routine and complex services for both pediatric and adult patients. Our team consists of fourteen highly skilled and experienced Audiology professionals dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of care. As an accredited training center, we maintain strong partnerships with higher education institutions and actively engage in the South West London Clinical Networks.

To qualify for these positions, candidates must be registered with (or eligible for registration with) the Academy for Healthcare Science (formerly RCCP) and must be authorized to work in the UK. We are committed to supporting the ongoing professional development of our successful candidates.

Qualifications

Essential

Bachelor's degree in Audiology or equivalent knowledge gained through extensive service experience.

Desirable

Completion of ERA and balance course / Additional studies in relevant subjects.

Experience

Essential

Hands-on experience conducting hearing assessments and fitting hearing aids for adults. At least one year of experience in an NHS acute/community setting. Experience in collaborative work across multiple agencies.

Desirable

Practical experience in supporting volunteer services.

Knowledge

Essential

Ability to organize and coordinate care within both community and acute care environments. Understanding of national care pathways.

Desirable

Proficiency in IT and presentation skills.
