Position Overview

The Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Clinical Research Facility (CRF) team. This facility is a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing clinical research across various medical specialties.

The CRF is committed to fostering a robust research environment, providing essential support to clinical researchers and ensuring that studies are conducted with the utmost integrity and adherence to regulatory standards. Our team is instrumental in delivering high-quality research services that ultimately benefit patient care.

Key Responsibilities

As a member of the CRF team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting in the provision of exceptional care and support to research participants and clinical researchers.
  2. Executing assigned tasks under the guidance of registered nursing staff, while also performing certain care duties independently.
  3. Maintaining proficiency in essential clinical skills, including but not limited to ECG recording, venepuncture, and cannulation.
  4. Ensuring the proper handling and management of trial specimens in compliance with relevant legislation and study protocols.
  5. Taking responsibility for accurate data entry into both electronic and paper records, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  6. Adhering to ICH Good Clinical Practice standards in all research-related activities.
  7. Understanding and operating within your defined scope of practice and accountability.
  8. Following all Trust policies to maintain a safe environment for patient treatment.
  9. Engaging in personal and professional development activities to uphold care standards.
  10. Exhibiting a positive demeanor towards colleagues, patients, and their families, in alignment with the Trust's core values.
  11. Participating in a flexible working schedule, including potential on-call duties as required.

Contractual Information
